New Name, New Home, Same Me

New Name, New Home, Same Me May 6, 2016

For those who haven’t heard the news yet, I’m closing up shop here at Shoved to Them and at Patheos. I have enjoyed my time here as a member of the Patheos team, it is just time for me to take my writing in a new direction.

I’d like to take a moment and thank Elizabeth Scalia who hired me, and then Sam Rocha who took over as the new boss when she left for supporting my writing, praying for my family, and pushing me to succeed. The fact that you allowed me to stand up here on this big platform and yell to the world when we needed help and prayers is still slightly surreal to me. I will be forever grateful for that.

Thank you to all of the readers who have followed my family and our journey of faith at Shoved to Them. This blog has been my home for many years, and while it’s a little painful to give it up, I know that it’s now time to do so.

I can now be found at my new digs, Backwards in High Heels. There’s a quote about how Ginger Rogers had done everything Fred Astaire had done, except she’d done it backwards and in high heels. I fell in love with the idea of dancing with God, and following (gracefully?) wherever He leads. I can’t see where we’re headed, but as long as I’m in His arms, I’m where I’m meant to be.

Thank you for walking with me through all the years I spent being shoved to my knees. I hope you’ll continue to walk beside me as I learn how to get up off of my knees and dance.
