Mr. Bean Goes To Church

InternetMonk shared this classic Mr. Bean episode, in which he goes to church and sings “All Creatures of Our God and King” – or at least the words that he and all the rest of us manage to remember. I doubt there is anyone in the world that has never seen it, but if you haven’t, you’re in for a treat. Enjoy!

JAMES!!! You've been back in America for too long otherwise you'd never have surmised that there's nobody in the world who's never seen this. Over the past 14 years, I've gotten to know dozens if not hundreds of people who've never watched a single minute of TV in all their lives, let alone Mr. Bean. But that's neither here nor there as they grew up in rural Tanzania where there isn't even the chance of watching TV. However, even I who grew up with TV in Germany and have been living in Mr. Bean's home country for 4+ years had never seen this episode. So there!PS: Could it be that even in what you seem to take as the entire world, the majority of your fellow-countrypeople have never seen this? In any case: Thanks for sharing this. It *is* hilarious :)

It was really just a rhetorical flourish intended to excuse myself for sharing something that has been around for such a long time. But I probably would have done better to simply say "Even if you've seen this before, surely you won't mind seeing it again!"

Well, I have never seen Mr. Bean, so thanks for posting it…I got a few good laughs.I have heard the hymn before; and (*ugh*) those alleluias were stuck in my mind for most of the day at work. 8-( The solution turned out to be Vaughan Williams’ “For all the Saints”. 😎

Thanks, James, for taking my comment so graciously. I must have been in nitpicking mood for political correctness and got carried away. Sorry!
