Is that the kind of house Jesus & Mary might have lived in?

    • It’s possible. I’m not sure whether this reflects a particular time period or region.

No, the Jesus and Mary Chain was formed in Scotland, so I’m guessing the members all lived in brick council estates outside Glasgow.

What? Why are you looking at me like that?

This is a replica of the type of house that Iron Age Israelites (ca.1200-586 BC) most likely lived in. Jesus was born around 3 AD, many, many centuries later. The layout of Jesus’ childhood home was probably somewhat different, but would probably have been “decorated” very similarly to the way this replica is.

Looks a bit draughty. When did the first person invent the fourth wall?

    • Maybe Jesus invented that just like he invented the modern table with chairs, but that scene got cut from The Passion of the Christ? ;-P

  • I love this model home! It helps make better sense of many biblical references. Thanks!
