H(igher)Ed Games

H(igher)Ed Games October 5, 2016

I’m having conversations with colleagues about making some variations of Canon that focus on core curriculum learning outcomes, literary or musical canons, and one or more new games focusing on chord formation and chord progressions in music.

The latter will probably be called “Playing Chords,” since a double pun – on the two meanings of playing, and cards / chords – is more than I can resist.

But “ReligionProf’s Games” doesn’t seem like a good fit as a name for my “brand” as I branch out further beyond religion-related games.

And so I’m rebranding my gamemaking under the title of HEd Games, or H(igher)Ed Games.

What do you think? Is that a good pun, or too bad even for a pun-lover? If that isn’t a good name for my game-making endeavor, then what would you suggested instead?

While I am working on some new games, as I noted at the start of this post, I have also been working on some new decks for existing Canon games. The next New Testament deck is available, and adds textual criticism into the mix. Take a look!

I’ve also created a Facebook page for Canon: The Card Game.

Finally, here’s a collection of photos from a recent game night at Christian Theological Seminar where two groups played Canon:
