U.S. Military being used as Government-Paid Missionaries

This is a shocking look at proselytizing in the US military. It’s from the point of view of the culprits themselves – in their words. It’s extremely creepy.

Close allies, the Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF), compiled this from various sources. Some are anonymous leaks, some are promotional videos filmed by military personnel. There are even a few clips from international news (the US media rarely covers this.)

This video was posted about a month ago. No idea how I missed it! Great job MRFF.

The idea here is not to give the military a black eye. Rather, it’s to expose the problematic few that use their rank and position to proselytize. I love the military. There are existing laws and regulations against this stuff. It’s time to swing the pendulum back towards normalcy. The evangelists have been going pretty much unchecked since the late 1980′s.

Unbelievable! They actually admit to preying like vultures on our service people when they are at their weakest and most vulnerable. Those that allow this should be tried for violating the Constitution they swore to uphold.

Wow, they’re so blatant about it. They are flat out admitting they target “vulnerable” soldiers.

Absolutely insane, and scary. Being from Europe, I have read various bits and pieces hinting at this sort of thing occurring, but have never heard it stated so clearly before.

The quote at 3:49 says it all really.

  • gwen

That is fucking scary! This needs to be STOPPED.

I shared this as widely as I could. I actually am experiencing a physiological reaction of nausea after watching that.

It was all disgusting, but what really got me was the person saying (paraphrased): Special Ops hunt men – that’s what we do, we hunt people for Jesus.

I think I may actually throw up.

As a student of Japanese history, this is one of the most terrifying things I have ever watched. When the military begins to see itself as the divine instrument of a living god, it also begins to see itself as above the command of the civilian government. To quote Jesus himself “No man can serve two masters” (Matthew 6:24)

Out of curiosity, any chance this might be dubbed over in particular parts, so that instead of talking about Jesus, they are talking about Mohammad?

I think — hope mostly — it will show just how bad this is to people who would otherwise write it off.

      This.
