Approximately 800 U.S. soldiers were ordered to participate in a candlelight prayer ceremony, and ‘spiritual fitness’ training for a recent suicide prevention campaign. Tampons and size 20 panties in the Marine Corps

Have you been the victim of the "Size 20 panties Marine Corps" copypasta? Well, one of the service members in the American Atheists Military facebook group has an amazing reply. The premise is that some male Marine opened a care package down-range. It was packed with feminine objects. He joked around with his fellow Marines using the various items. However, it turns out that those tampons were about to become really important in a life or death situation. The original spam concludes with a … [Read more...]

Atheist Chaplain’s Assistant delivers powerful speech (MUST SEE)

Sergeant Nicholas Amann's re-enlistment ceremony was not typical by any means. Sgt. Amann is not your typical soldier. I have been lucky in my Army career and have always been open with my beliefs and have never dealt with any persecution of any kind. Well, aside from the strongly religious folks who get upset when discussions come … [Read more...]

The time period this was supposed to take place was over several months! An … [Read more...]

How to fight back against mandatory prayer and win

Bookmark this one. This letter accidentally became the best walk-through on how to fight back against those mandatory ceremony prayers. For 17 years, every military graduation ceremony I've been to has had an invocation and/or benediction.  This includes schools like: Basic, AIT, PLDC, BNCOC... and BNCOC at Ft. Eustis specifically named Jesus.  I'm an instructor and have attended ceremonies for WLC and an MOS reclassification course that have included prayer…until recently.I'd locked horns w … [Read more...]

Atheist soldier, one of many forced to do yard work for Catholics

One was from a fellow foxhole atheist.(NAME / RANK WITHHELD)Justin -Got a question. [WITHHELD], has been tasks with cleaning/landscaping etc, a Catholic Church. This so far is not optional. You are more versed in the legality of church and state. What I see is more of an issue of having a federal employee mandated to clean private … [Read more...]
