No really, THAT was utterly shameful writing.

Lousy Canuck has another post with extreme histrionics. It's so weird because I really liked the beginning. He was describing his awkward upbringing, and I found myself totally relating. Obviously he went down a different path and chose the comic books and video games route. As for me, the Army pretty much saved my life. But I had to stop reading midway through and react. I stopped at this bit. Lousy Canuck wrote: I saw Justin Griffith step up to tell everyone that the members of Team … [Read more...]

Growing a set of principles

For some reason, Lousy Canuck defends lies about me while he talks about*  a man who was kicked off this blogging network for the exact type of harassment that we all rail against. He argues that we're all living in different parallel universes. I think he's right. *(holiday edit) And then there’s when Greg Laden says he wants to kick Justin Griffith’s ass for defending the serial harassers, and that’s a breach of protocol worthy of condemnation and drumming out of the movement and … [Read more...]

Greg Laden posts a home address and employer contacts for online rival

This is really vile. I don't care what you think about your opponent in an argument. You never ever do this: That link contained what he hoped was Mykeru's home address. Only it wasn't his home, it was his ex-wife's home, and that was years ago. Even then, she may not even live there anymore! Some other family may be targeted by whatever plot Laden may have hoped to inspire by dropping dox. Also included in that link was this actual photograph of the building: Seriously, WTF!? I … [Read more...]

Greg Laden’s “Sometimes the bad guys win”

After being removed from this blogging network for using violent threatening language towards me, Greg Laden posted a reply to me on his website. It's entirely indicative of his manipulative and coercive pattern of bullying. Justin Griffith is the Military Director for American Atheists. He and I had a strong difference of opinion, and it turns out he was wrong and I was right, mostly. But in the process of having this argument, I made some mistakes and he exploited the situation, so I ended up … [Read more...]

The pits

This post is a call for civility, personal responsibility, and integrity. It's going to get a little worse before it gets a lot better. Don't do this Shortly after that first post, the diarrhea hit the fan in the backchannel. For the most part, I think their criticisms were spot on, and I made some instant corrections to some sloppy writing. Shockingly, I received an email from one of my fellow bloggers that was coercive in nature and included violent threats. Greg Laden went way too … [Read more...]
