Navy Moves Unconstitutional Religious Display to Base Chapel at Guantanamo Bay

Guantanamo Bay

Guantanamo Bay, Cuba Within 34 hours of 18 complaints, 11 of which were Protestant Christians, the Base Commander at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba has finally moved two nativity displays that were located in the chow hall to the Constitutionally appropriate place - the Base Chapel! This is another victory for the Military Religious Freedom Foundation, The Constitution of the United States, and the Separation of Church and State as proposed by the Founding Fathers. The Base Commander had this to … [Read more...]

Shaw Air Force Base Complying with Regulations

I received this email within the last hour and felt like I should share it with you. I am a USAF fighter pilot stationed here at Shaw AFB, SC. I am also one of the MRFF clients who asked for help in the matter of the nativity scene erected at Memorial Lake here on base in violation of DoD and USAF regs. My spouse and I and a number of others (we're all practicing Christians of some type or another) who are clients of the MRFF in my Fighter Sq. just wanted to say thank you for stepping up … [Read more...]

I suppose they won’t be offended

IMG_0625

The crazies are out in full force this year Apparently, people get offended by my activism. Separating church and state is a pretty serious topic for me. Atrocities occur when you blur that line and eventually destroy it. It won't turn out too well for the Christo-fascists, either. That brings to mind a time when the Christo-fascists DID get their way in the United States. The 18th Amendment Back in the early 20th century the Christo-fascists weilded so much power that they were able … [Read more...]

The opposite of hate mail

Do you know the easiest way to tell if someone is a radical Christian or a compassionate Christian? Usually on whether or not they can spell, utilize proper grammar, and punctuate. Sometimes, though, even the intelligent ones are still hateful bigots. Here is the latest email from a Christian in the Air Force. Dear MRFF, My name is (name redacted).  I am a (rank redacted) in the United States Air Force and am currently stationed at Shaw AFB, SC.  As one would expect, I have heard … [Read more...]

I am now an “Enemy of the Republic” and my First hate mail

I guess people got a little heated over the removal of some plastic figurines from Shaw AF Base. Fox News Of course...Fox News ran with this story and Todd Starnes in all his brilliance made some "phone calls" to discover that removing the nativity display aboard Shaw AF Base was actually unconstitutional. Is this where I get to - "lol, smiley face"? Starnes is always good for a laugh. Shortly after his puff piece was published online I received an email from someone who apparently reposted … [Read more...]

How a Sitting Congressman And a Retired General Are Trying to Destroy Religious Freedom under the guise of Religious Freedom

This is a repost from my July 10 blog. It no longer works so here it is again. I'm sure many of you are now aware that there was a press conference yesterday. It was filled with lies, half-truths, and sold to the American public as an attempt to sway them into believing that Christians are under attack. You can read it here. These are two of the men pushing this legislation: General Boykin   Congressman Fleming  The man on the left is retired Lt. General Boykin. He is … [Read more...]

MRFF Congratulates Air Force on Removing Unconstitutional Sectarian Holiday Scene

WP_20131206_001

At  11:48 EST this morning I was alerted by MRFF clients of a nativity scene that had been placed aboard Shaw Air Force Base, next to Memorial Lake. This in and of itself is not a problem. However, it was not within the vicinity of any chapel and was not part of a scene designed to accommodate all religious preferences, or no preferences, aboard the base. It was very sectarian in nature and a direct violation of the US Constitution as well as a blatant violation of Air Force Instruction … [Read more...]

Another Victory for Foxhole Atheists at Colorado Springs!

600_193975172

Air Force Academy In my last post I alerted everyone to a problematic email sent out by an Air Force Master Sergeant. The Air Force has capitulated away from unconstitutional official policy and have agreed to, once again, allow graduating cadets to omit the "oath to god" from their Creed. I, (state your name), having been appointed a (rank) in the United States (branch of service), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States … [Read more...]

When Religion and Politics mix…When the media fails to report…When we don’t understand why…

cronkite_200-30ddecaab918f90c6aa681ee130c04ae63c2643b-s6-c30[1]

Media Coverage I suppose the first thing to cover is the fact that no national American media source is willing to cover what is going on in today's political arena with the audacity that, say, Walter Cronkite would be able to do. If you click the link you'll find the story about how a single reporter changed the American perception (or at least the middle class' perception) of the Vietnam War. It probably wasn't a popular thing to do, but he had integrity and stuck with the truth. I'm sure … [Read more...]

Military Discrimination Against Christians??

2_22_450_todd

Fox News columnist Todd Starnes is at it again. Determined to see an anti-Christian bias in the military where none exists, he published this in a post from July 8th, 2013: There is a clear and present danger to religious liberty within the military, says a coalition of groups who believe the Obama Administration is pushing a secular, anti-religious culture on the nation's armed forces."Christians who choose to live out their faith find themselves incompatible with the secular view of … [Read more...]
