How does this Marine tie his shoes? In little Nazis.

Chris Rodda has an amazing post about this image. The official story is that all of the Marines thought the SS stood for Sniper Scouts. Now I do believe that could be true about most of them. But at least ONE had to purchase this flag. Chris Rodda explains how she tracked down the exact website that this was purchased on. Guess what they mainly sell? Nazi shit. Obviously the Marine Corps doesn't want or deserve an association with the Nazi SS. I think it's sad that one hateful … [Read more...]

Calling all atheists for academic research into notorious ‘Spiritual Fitness’ testing

Please, if you have 10 minutes. We need your help fighting the unconstitutional nonsense behind the military's mandatory Spiritual Fitness testing and training. Researchers are doing actual science to combat this corporate zombie nonsense psychology that the Army got suckered into. You can help. Civilian Version -or- Military / Veteran Version U.S. Military Personnel and Veterans’ participation wanted for national online survey study about Military Spiritual Fitness The Army’s … [Read more...]

For over 5 years, Soldiers punished for not attending evangelical concerts

Jason C. writes: I was in AIT at Fort Eustis,VA in 2003 and the drill sergeants tried to force everyone to go to a Christian evangelical rock concert . After I spoke up to our platoon leader he brought up to the drill sergeant that some people were not Christian. Everyone was forced to toe the line to pull out our dog tags and show our religious affiliation we had on the tags. Even when I had No Religious Preference on my tags I was questioned and required to tell him I was an atheist . I … [Read more...]

Air Force Base denies atheist display, allows Menorah and Nativity Scene

Travis Air Force base is already under intense scrutiny over these displays that are inappropriate to begin with. The official word so far was that each of the 20 or so displays represented a squadron on base. Apparently this facade implies that an entire squadron is Jewish. And wouldn't you know it - their display just happened to be next to an entire squadron of Nativity Scene enthusiasts. (Forgive the transition into third-person, but the following is from an upcoming press release … [Read more...]

Command’s “Strategies of Satan: How to detect, defeat him” sent to everyone

I get Email... and on this day, so did every other person on the entire post. And it didn't even come from a Chaplain's e-mail address, rather the command itself. Which wouldn't necessarily be a problem if it weren't so overwhelmingly one-sided. This is the same post that denied me the opportunity to distribute Atheist cupcakes or host an Ask An Atheist Night event. A bit of good news came of this though. I sent a letter replying to the command group about the inappropriate nature … [Read more...]

Transcript of Army training reveals 83 instances of bypassing US Constitution

SGT Dustin Chalker, my friend and fellow foxhole atheist, wrote to me with exact figures from the mandatory Spiritual Fitness remedial training. Keep in mind, when reporters and lawyers are around - Spiritual Fitness is only about 'team spirit' and 'human spirit'. They emphatically declare that it has nothing to do with religion (clearly an admission that they understand such a thing would be illegal). This violates the No Religious Tests and Establishment Clauses of the U.S. … [Read more...]

Millions of taxpayer dollars used to convert soldiers and their children to Christianity

Chris Rodda wrote an extensive exposé on the amount of your taxpayer money being spent on converting soldiers and their children to Christianity. Your money. The Soldier Fitness Tracker that includes the mandatory Spiritual Fitness testing and the equally mandatory remedial training. $125,000,000 The Spiritual Fitness Center at Fort Hood, Texas (many more to come!) - Often described as a 'mega church', the building even has religious stained glass windows. They are stocked with … [Read more...]

U.S. Army says: Spiritual people make better soldiers

I was shocked that I was the first person to 'break' the story of the Army's *mandatory* Spiritual Fitness testing, and the equally mandatory remedial training that comes with it when you fail. Hours of remedial Spiritual Fitness training - so that I don't commit suicide because I'm an atheist. So is 'Spiritual Fitness' about religion? There are two different and conflicting responses coming from DoD. One line paints a rosy picture where "Spiritual" means team spirit or human spirit.  … [Read more...]

Have a Delicious Limited Public Forum and Eat it Too

The Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF) has recently released the following. I took these from my iPhone back in Easter while deployed in Afghanistan. I couldn't send them to my email until I got back from the deployment. These cakes were laid out in our combat Forward Operating Base dining facility during Easter, 2011. (name, rank, combat unit, military installation and MOS withheld) This is getting ridiculous. I've never seen John 3:16 proselytism via cake before. I'm pretty sure … [Read more...]

Mandatory Army survey says atheists are unfit to be soldiers

I’m a bit furious about a mandatory survey that I just took. The survey, Soldier Fitness Tracker (SFT), measures individual soldier’s competency in four areas: Emotional, Social, Family, and Spiritual. As a foxhole atheist, I was a little annoyed at first, but I’ve learned that I’ve really got to pick my battles on some issues. This quickly turned into one of those issues. According to the SFT, I'm unfit to serve in the U.S. Army because I'm a non-believer. It gets worse, but before I … [Read more...]
