The Five Shows We’re Watching (the 5th is One of the Greatest Shows Ever Produced)

The Five Shows We’re Watching (the 5th is One of the Greatest Shows Ever Produced) October 7, 2015

This has to be the greatest time of the year right? October brings us cool weather, football, Oscar nominated movies, playoff baseball, sweaters, fall foliage, Halloween, Halloween candy and dogs dressed in Halloween costumes. These are just a few of the great things October offers but my favorite thing about October and the beginning of Fall is binge watching shows on the couch in our sweatpants. I realize we can do this any other time of year but there’s just something about the first sign of cold weather and putting on sweatpants that haven’t been worn in eight months that make this our favorite time to binge. What are we watching? Here’s my top 5 shows…

Episode 409

1) Homeland

This has been one of our favorites for a few years now but if you watched the Season Four premier on Sunday then you may have noticed that for the first time, the show is using real events happening in the world today (Isis in Syria) as a story-line. I can’t wait to see where this new season goes!

2) Narcos

This is a Netflix Original. It’s a series based on the rise of Columbian drug lord Pablo Escobar. Catherine and I were hooked after one episode. The corruption of a country and the power of one man who is making billions of dollars from cocaine trafficking is astonishing and it makes for incredible TV.

3) House of Cards

So the last season of this show was released back in February but it’s so good, Catherine and I like to go back are re-watch the first three seasons. Kevin Spacey is in my opinion, one of the best actors on TV and he plays a great dirty politician

4) The Jinx: The Life and Deaths of Robert Durst

This documentary on HBO will give you the creeps but it is soooo good. Robert Durst is a guy accused of killing multiple people but because of his ultra-wealthy family, he was always able to avoid prosecution. The producers of this documentary dig up facts that the prosecuting attorneys never did and it sheds a lot of light on some of the missing pieces to his cases.

5) Sopranos

So everyone knows this show ended many years ago, but Catherine and I just recently revisited the entire series. We both love anything crime or gangster related so this was perfect for us. Sopranos is widely recognized as one of the best shows to ever be produced so I highly recommend watching it if you haven’t already!
