L.B.: Tune in tomorrow …

I've started Left Behind Fridays because: A) we need to make steadier progress in our ongoing journey through the Worst Books Ever Written, and B) I don't have a cat, or a digital camera.

What's that? Today is Friday? Ahem. Well, yes, about that …

This week, I'm afraid, will feature an installment of Left Behind Saturdays (a hopefully only occasional feature during particularly busy weeks).

Much of my week, oddly, has been spent at Holden Caulfield's alma mater, helping a talented bunch of young cadets get ready to perform "Les Miserables." (They're really quite good. Watching Javert is like seeing Paul Robeson as a teenager. If you're in the Philly area, come hear the people sing — 7:30 curtain tonight and Saturday, 2 p.m. matinee Sunday, directions here.)

So apologies for the belated LB installment, which will be up tomorrow. I'm off to the barricades.

Fred, will you join in the crusade, singing the song of angry men?

  • Lookit The Happy Monkey

That’s like waiting for a new edition of Action Philosophers Comics! GOD, I can’t STAND the Suspense!

Please do continue L.B. Fridays! You’ve helped me immensely by writing about them. I read a post of yours a year (or more?) ago, at a point at which I was about to say, “Oh, I’m sure it wasn’t as bad as I remember, I should read the next book to see how it went.” Thank you for rescuing me from that!
(Oh, and I like the rest of your blog, too.)

If we can’t have our L.B. series regularly updated, then you need to A. get some cats, and B. post their picutures for our enjoyment.
    I have spoken.

    Waiting…
On a side note– do you have any idea how hard it is to sell those things? I have to keep reminding myself that I believe in pluralism and freedom of speech…

A Day Late, A Digital Camera Short

As most of you hipsters know, Fridays are cat-blogging or whatever-floats-your-boat-blogging days. I don’t have a cat, I do have a digital camera, but it’s a piece of crap. I thought about posting pictures of fish on fridays, or even…

    Fred,
Sorry I’m no longer in the Philly area… this would be worth seeing. I’m curious, Why would a military academy WANT to stage Les Miserables? In this interpretation, does the audience cheer when the army blows away the young rebels? And how did YOU get involved in this?

    New PDL feature

Steve Bush suggests that Rick Warren thinks his message is very “counter-cultural”. Mercy! One can only surmise as to how. And if enough people embraced PDL, perhaps it would be less so. Folks, across this great blogosphere blogs everywhyere are implem…
