This story proves liberals suck the joy right out of everything. Barbie has honored the first black woman ever to be named principal dancer for the American Ballet Theatre with a doll made in her likeness, but someone had to ruin it by complaining that the doll looks too white.

Is that not ridiculous? Instead of being allowed 10 seconds of happiness, ballet superstar Misty Copeland has to put up with the likes of Jezebel and The Washington Post complaining that the doll looks “mighty, mighty white” for a black girl. (Who happens to have a lighter skin tone anyway.) But then again, no one obsesses more over skin color than leftists, so I guess this is par for the course.

This is how Copeland looks, by the way:

The Post‘s Sarah Kaufman actually called the doll “a missed opportunity.” This makes absolutely no sense. The only person that should be complaining about there being something wrong with the doll is Copeland herself. And seeing as she worked with Barbie through the entire process, giving her approval every step of the way, it obviously came out looking just as she wanted.

Plus, Copeland is such a positive and inspirational woman who could have a real impact on so many young girls. Having her own Barbie doll is such a great way to reach those who may never get the chance to see her dance in person. Check her out in the video that announced the launch of the doll this week:

I think it’s beautiful and looks just like her, so who cares what liberals think! Besides, what do they know, the doll is already sold out!

Also, did you know the FIRST black Barbie was based on me?!
