Colin Kaepernick is reminded how to act by a real all-American football star

Colin Kaepernick is reminded how to act by a real all-American football star August 31, 2016

When it’s all said and done, San Francisco 49er quarterback Colin Kaepernick will be best remembered for his anti-American protest rather than anything he’s done during his mediocre football career. And that’s what makes his latest critic’s comments all the sweeter.

Jerry Rice, a former 49er and arguably one of the best football players ever, weighed in on the controversy and offered a fellow player some good advice on how to carry himself when the eyes of the world watch his every move:

This from a man who understands that kids look up to NFL stars and will emulate the actions of their favorite player. Rice is the kind of guy everyone wants their kids to look up to, but Colin Kaepernick is no Jerry Rice. IJ Review summarizes the all-time great:

Former 49er Jerry Rice has an indisputable reputation as one of the best to ever play the game. The son of a bricklayer, it’s rumored that he initially began to play football as part of a deal with his principal to avoid punishment for cutting class.

Despite being initially passed over because he was “small and slow,” he quickly grew into his career and a recent “top ten” list ranked him the #1 NFL wide receiver of all time.

Rumor has it that Kaepernick may be cut from the team, not because of his antics but because of his lackluster performance. He may lose his coveted position, but he’s lost far more in the eyes of the public.
