Head of St John the Baptist

In England they call the school principal the ‘Headmistress’ or ‘HeadMaster’ or ‘HeadTeacher’ or ‘Head’ for short.

I knew this nun who was Headmistress of the local parish school that was dedicated to St John the Baptist, and she would regularly pick up the phone and say, “Hello, this is the head of St John the Baptist speaking.”

If she’d said that to someone with a fanatical interest in the Templars, it might have sent them even farther off the deep end.
