Tubing not Blogging

No blogging for a few days. We have family here and today we’re tubing down the Green River in North Carolina, then on Monday we’re off to Myrtle Beach (the Redneck Riviera) for a few days.

Tasteful friends asked, “But why Myrtle Beach?” Answer: “Because between us the two families have eight kids. It’s cheap. It’s cheerful, and they have miniature golf courses to die for. Besides, I love tacky entertainment. Give me the circus, roller coasters, the theme park, and Myrtle Beach.”

I should like to thank you for putting me on to another enjoyable leisure activity, i.e. reading the stories of Flannery O’Connor, of whom I am ashamed to say I had never heard. What a wonderful writer! I am most grateful.
