    I like this one particularly. It shows also that a baldachin/ciborium is not absolutely essential in a Romanesque church (although I do like to see those over altars as well!).

    perhaps the best place for a baldachino in a contemporary church built in the early Christian style is in the apse as a covering for the tabernacle. This is in continuity with the tradition, but incorporates the later tradition of the tabernacle and reserved sacrament and further glorifies the apse.
