OLR School

We’re working hard to communicate how great our little school is at Our Lady of the Rosary parish. Go here to visit the website and see our new promotional video. If you live in the Greenville area, please help to spread the news about Our Lady of the Rosary School. While you’re at the website, check out the new choral scholarships which will be available for next year. Musically talented children will be able to receive up to $1,000.00 per year towards tuition at our school. For this they will attend choir practice, learn to sing properly and sing in our parish church choir. If you live in the Greenville area and have a musical boy or girl in grades 3-8 and would like them to have a Catholic education, contact the school for more information.

Our world has lost sight of Our Lord, thinking Him irrelevant, useless and even nonexistent. We have so many big, lost children, searching for pleasure and happiness. We cover our children with blankets and prayer when they are small, and try to keep them safe. But then they grow up so quickly and become out of reach and it becomes impossible to keep them safe. What a comfort it would be for parents to know that their children’s souls are safe. I know Our Lady sobs about our priorities for our children. We cave to the demands of the modern world. Our children need to learn that there are virtues far more important than earthly loves. They are taught this at Catholic school daily. Indeed, our children would learn about sacrificial love due to the financial hardship a Catholic education imposes on many families.

I have long felt that the dubious Campaign for Human Development should be reconfigured to be a national collection for the Catholic school system, esp. those in the poorer areas. What better contribution to human development that promotion of true Catholic education for those in poverty?
