March for Life

Here’s the deal: I’m flying to Baltimore to preach at the Church of Mount Calvary–an Anglican congregation coming into full communion through the amazing Anglican Ordinariate which the Holy Father has created.

Then I’m going on to DC to join a group from Greenville who are on the March for Life. English author and EWTN personality Joanna Bogle will be there. I see that Katrina the Crescat will be there too.

I’m for a meeting. Let’s get some Catholic bloggers together and see if we can have some fun tweeting and blogging from MFL.

Really folks, some people say MFL is on its last legs. Let me tell you, the numbers are greater than ever. We couldn’t get tickets for the youth events. It’s mega. Let’s turn up. Let’s have fun. Let’s tell the world we’re pro life.

So who else is going? Where are we going to meet up?

I will be there, but I will be too busy to go to the MFL itself. As part of my volunteering at the Basilica of the National Shrine, I am there all day helping, as opposed to going on the March…

We'll be there somewhere in the throng. Maybe you should make a sign "Catholic Bloggers for Life" so people can find each other. Where's the hookup? I always enjoy a pint after the March at Capitol City Brewery or Fado Irish Pub or some such.

I am an Episcopalian coming into the RC and so are my sons. My Hubby is already in the RC since he had been confirmed when he was young. My Oldest son is supposed to be flying to DC for this time!

I live in Northern Virginia, so I'm riding in to DC on one of the buses my parish is providing and meeting up with the Ordinariate group (with the big red banner proclaiming, "Thank you, Holy Father, for Anglicanorum coetibus!") We are scheduled to meet up at 1pm at Independence Ave. & 7th St., SW (just west of the Air & Space Museum). Here's a blog entry re. last year's gathering, including a photo of the banner: join us!

I work in D.C., and will be attending the MfL. I sent you an email offline.
