This Cheered Me Up!

Sometimes keeping this blog going is rather disheartening. I have so many other projects and have so much buzzing in my life, and I am wanting the readership to be increasing all the time (like every blogger does) and wonder what I must do to keep the life of it going and think of quitting. But then I find out today via my friend Brandon Vogt that my blog is ranked in the top 100 of religious blogs weight up traffic and all that. Go here to see the stats. It’s my day off today, so after a morning motorcycle ride I’m ready to blog!

Father, you are too modest by far … you are not only in the top 100, you are in the top 50! Congratulations.

Congratulations, Father! Nice morning for a ride, by the way.

Please don’t define the success of your blog only by the number of readers and commentors it draws in. Numbers are, well, only numbers. What about the impact of your message? For me, your posts have been instrumental in my decision to convert to Catholicism from Protestantism. I don’t possess the “art of articulation” and cannot even pretend to engage in the conversation here, but I surely have been blessed by reading it.

Thanks! You’re right. Numbers are just an indicator. Other things are more important.

You do a huge amount of good Father. This is one if the best blogs there is, and a great place to read more about the Church.
