For the last few years at my parish of Our Lady of the Rosary we have had a wonderful All Saints Day liturgy. Holy Deacon Richard Ballard has a fine collection of relics, so we set up stations around our humble little church with first class relics and image of each saint with a candle burning before it. AMong the relics present are those of Pope St Gregory the Great, Padre Pio, St Therese of Liseiux, St John Neumann, St Elizabeth Ann Seton, Theresa of Avila, and others. On the altar is a relic of the true cross.
While communion is being administered the faithful circulate to pray and venerate the relics of the saints. It is truly a beautiful Mass and so sweet to see the children and adults both in awe of the presence of the saints so near and dear to us.
If you are in the upstate of South Carolina come and join us. This year’s All Saints Day celebration will be a vigil Mass– Thursday, Oct 31 at 7pm
