Many of you likely remember this post from a couple of weeks ago, wherein Mary asked if you all could donate what you could for air conditioner funding. I am happy to say that you provided! As she put it over on Steel Magnificat’s Facebook page:

“You know what Divine Mercy feels like? Divine Mercy feels like a spiffy high-powered air conditioner that my blog readers purchased for me through the donate button. It’s 87 degrees outside and I’m not swelling up or having more than mild foggy-headedness because this thing is keeping the dining room comfortable and the rest of the downstairs nontoxic. AND, it means I get to sleep in my own bed at night because we can use the littler AC unit for one or two rooms upstairs.”

(I love Ollie’s.)

This magnificent machine is a wonderful thing. I believe I’ll name it Misericordia. We’re not sure yet how well this and our smaller one upstairs will hold out when it gets even warmer and the heat doesn’t break at night.  But, for now, I simply don’t have to worry whether my wife will collapse from heat exhaustion, even when it got up to ninety last week!

Thank you so much, readers. Thank you.

Please allow me to commend to your prayers and financial support those living only a 20 minute walk from my door who do not have their needs for the day met.
