“Merciful Lord Jesus, grant them rest!”

Please, please pray for the Lewis family. Pray for Olivia and Emma. And pray for those they leave behind, most especially Sean, Becca, and Vivian. They’re being asked to carry an impossibly heavy cross, to travel down an impossibly dark and difficult road. Even with the extraordinary and edifying outpourings of human sympathy, prayer, and support from all around the Catholic community, it is impossible. But with God…

Lord God, source and destiny of our lives, in your loving providence you gave us Olivia and Emma, to grow in wisdom, age, and grace. Now you have called them to yourself.

As we grieve over the loss of ones so young, we seek to understand your purpose.

Draw them to yourself and give them full stature in Christ. May they stand with all the angels and saints, who know your love and praise your saving will.

We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Thank you, Sharon. It’s unimaginable to me. Just unimaginable, even now.

The Relevant Radio community is praying for the Lewis family. Thanks for giving us the names of the little ones who were lost in the tragic traffic crash.
