An Ohio Library – also a polling place – is being taken to task for airing mulitple viewings of Fahrenheit 9/11 a week before the elections.
The librarian sees no problem with this. Apparently there was a waiting list of people wishing to take out the tape, so she figured, why not just run it in their screening room.
A week before the election. Not a week after.
A taxpayer is suing.
My suggestion: Show it, but be fair. Make it a double bill. Fahrenheit 9/11 and Stolen Honor. And inform people that agreeing to attend means they will not leave after one or the other, that they will sit through both.
Either do it right, or don’t do it at all.
