America is still, always for optimists and dreamers

If you have nothing to read at lunch or supper, you might want to print out this really lovely, uplifting story of a few Nepalese immigrants – quite famous in their native land – who have come to lay their stake in the American dream and are willing to do whatever it takes – from cleaning restrooms to opening restaurants. Jonathan Pitts is a terrific writer and he does a swell job, here, of putting you in some interesting shoes…and I don’t know about anyone else, but I can never read of this sort of immigrant drive and energy without feeling a real swell of pride for my country, which has offered immense opportunity to everyone, and has grown and prospered on precisely these sorts of dreams and energies by people of all faiths. Enjoy.
