Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, finally arrested? Truly?

Captains Quarters and California Yankee are urging caution and wondering if this is must more of the same, and Powerline heaves a sigh and reminds us that we’ve danced this dance twice before, but Jerusalem Post is sniffing around and wondering if Iraq’a Interior Minister Falah al-Naqib’s rather weird comment, “I wouldn’t like to comment for the time being,” is suggesting that Zarqawi is in custody – with that news simply being held for the most opportune moment (just before the January 30 elections in Iraq).

The AP is running the story, too.

If it’s true…it might be another explanation for the note of confidence President Bush struck in his inaugural address. Feeling cocky? Stay tuned to Ed – I’m sure he’ll have the real stuff before the rest of the blogosphere.
