Oh, THAT unbiased media

Well done. H/T Larwyn.

It’s so much easier to govern when you get the good press behind you every day, too.

Civility is back. And so is dignity and grace.

Everything will be good now.

I am afraid that after watching the new Speaker of the House, I though strongly about converting to Islam and helping the US turn to Shara Law. The bright side is that Nancy P. would have to go back to where she came from and we’d never see or hear of her again. At the same time, Ted Kennedy would either sober up, or attend a publich wippng – his. And so on. But as I write this, I realize I am too old to change. Like many others I once took an oath to support and defend the constitution, and putting up w/ people like Nancy and Ted are part of it.

Thanks for your blog. It’s great reading.

Funny how they are looking for bipartisanship after all those years of obstruction. The republicans for all the 40 years out of power worked for the country even when it was on things they did not support. The democrats just sat back and did all they could to obstruct while the republicans were in power. Now we are supposed to just go back to being bipartisan? I don’t think so. I want the republicans in congress to be as obstructive as possible when it is worth being obstructive. That is about the only way we can keep from becoming a nanny-state controlled nation with all our rights determined by a few PC people.

We’ve had a Republican President of the Senate who told a senator to “Go fuck [himself]” on the Senate floor, a President whose office equated voting for the opposition party with voting for terrorists, an Attorney General who has legalized torture, a congress and a senate that have nullified habeas corpus (an eight-hundred year old right), and a war against a state that didn’t attack us but did cost more than 100,000 people their lives.

If you voted twice for all of this, you’re a deluded to expect civility.

NB has a fascinating interview with Ms. Andrea Mitchell, which is truly amusing regarding MSM bias:

it just doesn’t seem real, but more like a play, drama, soap opera…

Did CD miss any distortions/talking points? Might want to go check the rhetoric book and see if you can find them.

‘Cause the Truthiness to Power meme needs repetition to succeed.

    Patrick,

Can you really be so irony-impaired that you can’t see the Colbert Report is a parody of Bill Oreilly’s show on Fox “News”, your party’s answer to Pravda?

What civility? What dignity? What grace? What promises have been broken already? There is no hiding place any longer.

The mainstream media has been digging its own grave with its own little CRTs and computers and their opinion purveyors masquerading as unbiased observers for years and now they are squealing like stuck pigs because they are consistently being called on their egregious and preventable errors.

The mainstream media has a clear path to say what they want, however incorrect or biased it might be or however sloppy the journalism behind the story published (and I quite frankly see sloppiness in many cases more than deliberate intent) and now they really do not enjoy the shining light of the blogsphere shining upon their error-filled works.

Hey guys of the MSM, get a clue. Do your jobs with integrity and professionalism and you won’t GET criticized, even if we don’t agree with the story you print or broadcast. Being a journalist used to be an honorable profession. Now? Not so much!

What is the difference, pray tell, between an Islamofascist and a Christofascist? As to the danger of the rise of islamic jihad if you and your beliefs are righteous then you have nothing to fear. Why do you not have faith in your own God?

A fascist is a fascist. Please show me the Christians who are hanging gays, beheading folks, threatening newspapers and editors for disrespectful cartoons, flying planes into buildings, stoning women who are raped, urging genocide against the Jews and announcing that “you love Pepsi, but we love death” and I’ll be more than happy to denounce them for you.
