Happy New Year!!!
A day late; my new year began with company in the house and a computer that needed to more or less be rebuilt! More later! Houseguests are making writing rather difficult!
Part of my new years resolution is to “blog-smarter” and earn more money to help out with that kid’s tuition. Until I get back on track, why not tell me what are your new year’s resolutions?
HAPPY NEW YEAR AND MAY GOD BLESS US ALL!

LOL! I’d love to make money blogging, but I suppose a first essential step would to actually have people read my blog. LOL! This year I am going without resolutions. I am just going to take things as they come, and try to meet those challenges to my imperfect best. My plans and resolutions are very rarely concordant with God’s plans and resolutions for me.
I resolve to plan meals for the week instead of winging it every day. I told the Little Guy that today it was “Leftovers Night” and he thought we should do that every Friday…
Remember the old Prince Spaghetti commercials? Tuesday is Prince Spaghetti Night!
I’m learning Spanish. Shouldn’t be a huge stretch since I have 8 years of Latin and 4 of French. At least I hope so. I was in my early 20s when I learned those languages – I’m triple20 now!
Happy new year to your entire family and particularly to you because your sweet self has been an enormous support to my soul this year. Gentle nudges and course corrections abound and are appreciated.
I need to go to the Sacrament of Confession much more often to keep those venial sins from growing into bigger ones. It always feel so good to unload all that garbage and get sound spiritual advice (and our pastor is excellent!) He also doesn’t try to talk me out of the venial sins (as if they weren’t important or as if I didn’t see that I intended no good with them!) and he has given good advice to help me get back upright when I’ve started spiritually listing to one side.
I really have to make an effort to keep this one.
By the way – Buster is SERIOUSLY adorable! Was then, probably is now. Good job Anchoress!
What a cute kid!
My resolution is personal (sorry!) but you can be sure I am asking for His help every day to deal with it. Thank you for a wonderful and nourishing blog.
That is one cute, happy kid. That really makes life worth living.
My resolution is to overcome back pain and start living fully again. I cannot give into pain and have a pity party. I have a new 8 month old Yorkie to help out with the daily walking, and about an acre of yard work to keep me busy. I want to do it all.
My New Year’s resolution is to leave fewer comments on other people’s blogs. chkl.
Mind you it will be tough for me.
My motivations are similar to yours A., seeing as how I have children in similar educational status as you.
God has opened a door with brilliant light drawing me through – I was asked to be on a retreat team and accepted.
Enjoy your relatives. My sympathy for the impaired computer.
I have never made NYs Resolutions, until this year.
Run at least 2 half marathons or a full and lose another 17 pounds.

Ruth H. If you figure out what to do about back pain – clue me in! I have arthritis in my spine and it’s really starting to torque my cookies!
I’ve been toying with the idea of ordering that spray stuff they sell on TV but my inate caution has so far restrained me. I find it less worrisome to order from monasteries recommended by our dear Anchoress. All the dogs I know love the cookies (Benevolent Biscuits) and my sister and I are truly wild about the various mustards. And my entire office is in a state of euphoria over the caramels – I got the BIG boxes for here!
And of course, I start each day with the wonderful Mystic Monk coffees.
