NY State Dems Sit Out the Pledge

“If we can’t be in charge in perpetuity, we won’t play.” Said it before and will say it again. 14 year olds.

Even worse: A California Democrat says free speech? That’s terrorism!

We have children running everything.

What surprised me was the refusal to recite the Pledge of Allegiance. What angered me was the man grabbing the arm of the lone Democrat who started to recite the pledge. What was the point? That they owe no allegiance to the US? If so, a better way to show it would be resigning and emigrating.

The idea of limiting free speech for “haters” doesn’t surprise me. I had my awakening in high school while reading a historical document “On Democracy”. The author promoted religious tolerance except for Catholics, because their religion itself was intolerant. ;)

14 year olds? I think 14 year olds are more mature than the idiots in the federal and state governments! They act like pre-schoolers. As said before, we’re screwed.

Forget pre-schoolers. My 2-year-old daughter behaves better than those clowns.

    From that…

The Republicans were essentially threatened and terrorized against voting for revenue. Now [some] are facing recalls. They operate under a terrorist threat: “You vote for revenue and your career is over.” I don’t know why we allow that kind of terrorism to exist. I guess it’s about free speech, but it’s extremely unfair.

    Lovely.

We hire a person (by voting) to represent us. If he fails, or refuses, to do so, we fire him (by voting for someone else).

    That’s terrorism?

    George Orwell would be impressed.

(I don’t know if that last line was worth it; I fear half the people I aimed it at would reply, “WHO?”)
