There are bunnies chasing each other in my backyard, and the tomatoes need a bit of attention, so here is a Distracted Friday Link-Around for your reading pleasures; everything is being done wrong!

    Your tomatoes look good!

My tomato plants had their harvest in June, and then they just bombed on me! I’m plenty disappointed.

I probably don’t know how to plant tomato plants.

[They're not my tomatoes...I wish mine looked that good. Or that I had a camera capable of taking such a good pic! -admin]

I generally leave that sort of thing to professional farmers, I know it gives some people a lot of satisfaction but not me. (Though I do the next best thing by going to farmers’ markets).

    Mexico rethinks drug strategy, etc

Don’t hold your breath. But a lot of very surprising people, the last that you’d expect to have such views, are turning against prohibition. (Such as hard-nosed security men who’ve been enforcing what they now think are failed strategies).

We’ve had 90+ days and hot evenings for several weeks. The tomatoes are fine, but the beans are all burned up.

@Newton, your comments are in keeping with this Friday’s theme. :-)
Fortunately for all of us, the Anchoress is still doing it Right.

With all due respect, all this “you’re doing it wrong” energy… am I missing something? I suspect that I am. What is this about?

Loved Newhart as Wallace! But why do I suddenly feel like I should go have a swig of beer?

Sadly, the drug cartels have moved into other illegal enterprises, such as human trafficking.

    Legalization won’t stop the violence.

I absolutely love, love, love tomatoes in any form. Planting of a tiny tomato crop in my Topsy Turvy got overlooked this year, so I guess I’ll be heading down to the Farmer’s Market on Saturday morning. Or I could walk one block on Thursday and go to Michelle Obama’s Farmer’s Market on Vermont Avenue in D.C.!

Bob Newhart is the funniest accountant in the world!
