As Julie says: The book looks dreadful, but I want to see the movie!

Thank you for the funnies 3 minutes of the past month!
Oh, come on. If it doesn’t feature evil nefarious plans by evil nefarious committee members, it’s not a proper sf convention parody.
Also… I have to say that the average sf fan doesn’t believe in hand to hand combat, particularly with zombies. If God meant us to engage in up-close urban warfare, He wouldn’t have invented cleaning supplies you can turn into explosives and fans who are chemists; fans who always make liquid nitrogen ice cream and would love to make zombies shatter; or fans who always have hunting rifles and flare guns out in the car. The martial arts types might do a bit of hit and run attacking, just to keep zombies off the backs of the chemists, but that’s about it.
That was hilarious, I’d actually pay to see that movie. How often does a parady ad actually come off good enough to get a person interested in seeing a full version?
You should check out this little gem: Stormtroopers are at a loss when one of their own is injured, but not killed, in a run-of-the-mill firefight. With no precedent, they attempt to deal with the situation as best they can… which is to say, not very well.
or fans who always have hunting rifles and flare guns out in the car.
You obviously are not from Texas (the flare guns are used to hunt and cook in one easy step).
