Limbaugh, Jeb Bush & Reagan

Was moving around this morning and picking up Rush Limbaugh in the car. He had some interesting things to say. In talking about Obama's notion of what constitutes "sacrifice," Limbaugh intoned, (I am paraphrasing) "sacrifice is only sacrifice when it is voluntary. Otherwise it is compulsion." Obama: Yeah, Iraq war caused the hate…

Lots of people writing about Obama's interview with al-Arabiya. Some are angry that he gave his first presidential interview to a news agency outside of the US. I don't care much about that - the man's entitled to speak to whomever he wants - but some of Obama's answers seem to me just a bit disoriented or perhaps I should say purposely disorienting. Clintons behind Wright/media saturation? UPDATED

AJ Strata has an interesting link up over at his site - one that, if the thing pans out - suggests that it was a Clinton operative who invited Jeremiah Wright to (disastrously) address the National Press Club. AJ wonders if Wright has been bought off by the "old school" black democrats - paid to essentially destroy Obama's campaign - and what the price was. I initially did not believe that. Is Limbaugh subverting a sacred trust?

Cobb is saying Rush Limbaugh has crossed a line with Operation Chaos, and he even has a cartoon up about it. My take on "Operation Chaos" is that Rush is doing several things, here - he's demonstrating his sway, he's enjoying making mischief (and hoping that when the press talks about "Hillary winning and demonstrating momentum" they'll mention his "Operation,") and he's getting a feel for just how strong may be the desire of conservatives to -- not now, but in coming years -- jump the GOP ship … [Read more...]
