The Bible’s Literary Styles

The Bible’s Literary Styles June 28, 2017

I’ve been a little behind on my blog posts over the last couple of weeks. This has been due to a lot of complications in starting a new job. Not to worry though, I am still blogging this summer even if it is a little less frequent than in the fall and spring. That being said, I have also been behind on keeping up with The Bible Project’s fantastic “How to Read the Bible” video series. Never fear though! The third video in series just went live recently.

In this one Jon and Tim focus their attention on the three main literary styles that comprise the Bible: narrative, poetry, and prose discourse. As per usual with The Bible Project, the quality of the video is excellent. If you want more info, the guys have been doing a more in-depth look at the Bible’s literary forms on the Bible Project Podcast. Enjoy!
