... UPDATED 2/4/09: Amazingly enough no one correctly identified all 12 structures. Only three people got all but ONE right. The ones that seemed the most difficult to identify were numbers 1,3,6,11. ... today was the last day to submit your photos for the "Is it a church or is it a Correctional Institution?!" contest. I've gotten quite a few entries. I'll apologize now for some that had to be disqualified because they had obvious exterior indications as to the function of the building. Don't take it as a slight if your photo did not make the final cuts; I was trying to make this contest as challenging as possible. ... this week alone we've lost 7 residents who could no longer keep their homes due to unemployment. One gentleman whose been a resident for many years just confessed he hadn't been to mass in 15 years but now that he is about to find himself homeless he's been to daily mass for 3 weeks straight. He just smiled at me and said "I am just sorry I was so stubborn that it took this hardship for me to find my way back to Him."
