a movement without purpose or direction…

... When asked to briefly sum up Occupy Wall Street, that was my reply. It's a movement without purpose or direction. I've yet to figure how a month long camp out in squalid conditions is going to fix the economy or shape the government. Again, the whole thing is purposeless and will accomplish nothing.  Oh, and then there's the whole "crazy" factor. Can you imagine if one day everyone started paying attention to that crazy guy who screams at the traffic and wears a sandwhich board. Every ci … [Read more...]

busy little beaver…

... those who followed me at my previous blog are aware I don't post a lot over the weekends or holidays. Everyone should get a weekend off. I use the time away from the blog and writing to de-stress, spend with my family, and do fun stuff like at-home beauty remedies in between jello shots. So forgive me if you find this blog not updated daily. I have so many professional hats to wear, consequently only one brain to fill them, and I get a bit overwhelmed. How is it others can updated their … [Read more...]

The difference a decade makes…

... it amazes me at what a difference a single decade can make; I am referring to age differences. There exists a dramatic discongruity from the 20-somethings of today compared to the 20-somethings of ten years ago. Historically, most 20-somethings aren't known for their decision making skills and maturity but this generation of 20-somethings seems more profoundly stupid than the generations preceding them. They are a special kind of stupid that we've never encountered before.Take appearance … [Read more...]

RSS feeds…

... I appreciate everyone's patience while I make adjustments and work out the technical kookbuggery. Many have emailed me regarding the RSS feeds. The major complaint is that this blog no longer features the full post with images in the feeds, but a short synopses instead. To read and see the full content you are required to click through the feed. Please understand that writing and this blog is a source of income for me. How much I am paid is determined by the number of page views and … [Read more...]

defining charity…

... which ever source you use, charity is basically defined in the same manner; a generosity and helpfulness especially toward the needy or suffering, aid given to the poor.Nowhere did any of the sources define charity as the act of giving aid to the poor with conditional terms. Never would it have even occurred to me to offer charity and then apply conditional terms to what was being freely given. I am referring to Christian charity in this sense, not government subsidies. I liken … [Read more...]

going to the Chapel…

... this weekend my father and my step-mom celebrated 25 years of marriage, an eternity for most married couples today. It truly was a beautiful evening and a moving celebration of the sacrament of marriage and testimony of love. While I was there I took the above photo from their wedding album. It came out pretty well for being a picture of a picture. They were married in the fall of 1986 at a local Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Virginia. There is so much to love about this photo … [Read more...]
