Greetings from Los Angeles!

The Jesuit Post editor-in-chief Michael Rossmann SJ and I are staying at Loyola Marymount University, where we are attending a week-long Jesuit formation conference titled “Global Mission in a Digital Age.”

We are among 350 young Jesuits in formation from the United States, Canada, and the Caribbean in attendance. Most of TJP’s staff is included in this group.

Today I have an interview with Michael up at America, where we discuss the ongoing partnership between America Media and TJP. America became the publisher of TJP on March 10.

If you’re interested in the growing trend of global Catholic media partnerships, which I previously discussed with Salt & Light Media’s Father Tom Rosica CSB (Vatican English-language spokesman) last summer, you might enjoy the interview.

Michael talks in the interview about TJP’s mission and how its social commentary is helping America Media bring the New Evangelization to young Catholics on the digital margins of our church.

Later this week, Michael will lead a workshop for Jesuit novices, brothers, and scholastics on how TJP reaches out to Catholics in their 20s and 30s.

Although I’m a contributing writer for America, TJP’s sister publication, I’ve enjoyed blogging for TJP on Patheos these past several months.

Let’s continue to pray for our church and world as we seek to bring God’s love to the margins of our global society.
