Why Both Sides of the Political Aisle Stink at Balancing the Budget

I am convinced that both the left and right in our political system stink at balancing the budget.  Here is a video that gives the best answer to the problem, using Oreo cookies.   What are your thoughts on this video?  What about the larger theory the video represents?
