I like the ideas to be confident about your relationship, to talk your non-LDS spouse up (i.e., not to make it something to mourn), and to be proactive with your ward about how you want them to relate to your spouse.  We had a woman stand up in SS when she first moved in and made in plain that she didn’t want people bothering her husband about Church, and everyone respected that.  If you don’t say anything you know what will happen, so you’ve gotta speak up.
