Why CBMW Is Excited About TGC ’13: We Love the Gospel April 5, 2013

The Council on Biblical Manhood & Womanhood will be at the Gospel Coalition’s national conference this coming Monday-Wednesday, April 8-10, 2013.

We’re very excited about this conference, because we love the gospel and count it as the core of all our work and ministry. It is a signal mark of health in evangelicalism that so many folks are eager to delve into a biblical theology of salvation. We at CBMW are grateful for the work of outfits like TGC, and we are similarly desirous of a ministry that exalts and applies the reality of redemption to all of life.

Many key CBMW board members and council members are involved at TGC, including CBMW founder John Piper, Al Mohler, Chairman Russell Moore, and CJ Mahaney.

We think organizations like CBMW fill a crucial role in putting flesh on gospel-driven evangelism and discipleship. What is your distinctive manhood and womanhood for? How does being a man or a woman impact discipleship? What does the gospel have to say to major cultural issues like homosexuality and same-sex marriage? CBMW is here to help answer such foundational questions as these.

But we’re not just going to be at TGC, smiling to ourselves. We’re hosting an informational event! Here’s a word from our blog about our Monday morning gathering, to which the public is welcome and invited:

On Monday morning, April 8 at 10am, we will be hosting an informational meeting for all of those interested about the new direction that CBMW will be taking in the future. Our Executive Director, Dr. Owen Strachan, will be there to share his vision and answer any questions that you might have about our new initiatives. We’d love to meet you!

The meeting will take place in Room Suwannee 11 at the Rosen Shingle Creek Hotel and will begin at 10:00 AM.

We look forward to seeing you. We’ll have free coffee after I briefly share about our mission and vision for coming days. We’re excited to be a part of TGC ’13, and we hope you’ll come by our booth in the exhibitors’ area. We have a gift for the first few hundred folks who come by.
