Australian? Skeptic? Be A Part Of The Young Australian Skeptics Site!

I got an alert from Jack Scanlan this morning – you may be the person they’re looking for!

The Young Australian Skeptics are looking for a team of dedicated writers for a revamp of its blog in late July!

If you’d be interested – or know someone who you think might be interested – in writing news and/or opinion pieces about alternative medicine, conspiracy theories, creationism, religion in politics, science communication, science education, atheism or any other skeptical topic: email (or get them to email) youngausskeptics [at] gmail.com with an expression of interest. We’ll get back to you soon with details about the revamp and sort of writing we’re after.

You can check out their extensive database AND podcast over on their official site - The Young Australian Skeptics!

But what if I’m not young?

I’ve written for them a few times – Dr Karen Stollznow has contributed to their site too. I say send in something and help out! I can think of a ‘teen’ site that is mostly written by parents and teachers, aimed at the teen audience.

What I’m getting from that picture is that the Young Australian Skeptics are white and (mostly) male. Is that the impression they’re seeking to make, I wonder?
