Happy Second Birthday To The Michigan Skeptics Association!

About a month or so ago, Adam Bourque got in touch with me about a celebration that they’re having over in Michigan.

Now, since I’m in one of the most isolated cities in the world, on the other side of the planet, you might wonder why I was keen to contribute. Well, firstly, if there’s any skeptical group who needs a hand (just ask the number of Australian SkeptiCamps that I’ve sponsored or donated or just plain promoted over the years, even groups like NYC Skeptics or QEDCon!), I’ll try to help.

Secondly, I actually went to school in Indiana for a semester and used to visit the city of Niles in Michigan on occasion, so I kind of know some of the surrounding area and have fond memories of my time there. From their blogpost, it looks like they got lots of donors for their event and many well-wishers – fantastic!

I hope the Michigan Skeptics had a fine time and that they have many more events to come!
