Jonathan Coulton (Left Ear) Vs Glee (Right Ear) – Test “Baby Got Back” For Yourself

As alacrion says on their Soundcloud page:

“I should note: the only editing I did to this was aligning the tracks. I didn’t isolate the vocals and put them over the same backing track; Glee were already using the exact same track, which is, as far as I can tell, JoCo’s recording.”

In response to the controversy, Coulton rereleased “Baby Got Back” as a single with the name “Baby Got Back (In the Style of Glee)” on iTunesGoogle Play, and Amazon. All proceeds will be going to the VH1 Save the Music Foundation, and the It Gets Better Project.

The problem is the response from Fox… It was more a case of “You should be glad you are getting exposure” without realising that Portal probably has more players who know who Coulton is than Glee…

I used to like Glee (what! I am musically inclined.) until I found out how it was treating IP and IP holders.

It really seems they used the same backing track, right?
