Token Skeptic Talk At SymbioticA – UWA, Perth!

token-skeptic-episodeNews now out! I’m doing a talk at the University of Western Australia:

Token Skepticism: Podcasting Science and Pop Culture
Date: 1 March 2013
Time: 3:00pm
Location: SymbioticA
Speaker: Kylie Sturgess

An investigation of science podcasting, using social media and the reach of online radio. What is podcasting, what can it contribute to the understanding of science and what are the pros and cons of using such a medium? Kylie Sturgess has been podcasting since 2005, and brings her experience and research into the medium of science podcasting under the microscope.

I also highly recommend the preceding talk by Dr Richard Hamilton, on Friday 22 Feb 2013 about Shakespearean Ontogeny. I won’t be able to attend, but I thought his topic is fascinating and well worth finding out more about.
