So if God doesn’t make McCain win, does that mean the other gods are bigger? And did this preacher call “Hindu” a god?
Seriously, does this preacher think he’s telling God something when he says that his reputation is at stake? Is that a threat to God? Is God going to do something different now because of a prayer of some old guy appealing to God’s baser instincts like pride and jealousy?
Oh the ignorance and superstition! If God existed, I’d pray that he deliver us from the stupidity of his followers.

No, it just means that people will think their god is bigger. You know, because those people are stupid, unlike this pastor whose god we all know to be the real god.
Apparently, if you vote for Obama you can’t pray to the Christian god. Who knew.
This is absolutely retarded. Your “God” is so weak that he needs you to implore him to get off his ass and “protect his reputation”? Wow, preacherman, your god’s pretty stupid.
I don’t know if I should laugh.
I thought Buddhists had no gods anyway, and Hindus have a lot of them, and Muslims believe in the same god this guy does.
In any case, I’m not sure if he is trying to make a case for polytheism. I’ve had very good conversations about faith with people in various religions, but how do you even hold a rational discourse with someone like that?
It seems like this guy is using his religion to manipulate politics. ARGH!
Good point, Hector! Seeing as this guy just acknowledged the god “Hindu” (seriously??) and presented Allah as something completely *other* than just the Arabic word for “God,” it would appear that this preacher is henotheistic–which would be a HUGE no-no for his church. Whoopsie!
Interesting that someone praying at a McCain rally would be so concerned with reputation.
Irony at it’s best!
Well, at least he provides an excellent example of the reason that the religious should not have a greater role in political life. If this minister, as a presumed theologian, does not even understand some of the most basic concepts of other world religions, he obviously hasn’t done his homework within his own field.
Is this the type of person we’d like to see helping us improve the quality of our public life?
The pathetic thing is that “free will” is one of the most basic ideas behind Christianity, and yet this pastor is asking God to force people to vote for McCain.
Again, I’ll have to agree with the atheists…this is ridiculous!
