Legal case against God dismissed

A court case against God’s involvement or negligence of ”widespread death, destruction and terrorization of millions upon millions of the Earth’s inhabitants” has been dismissed because the judge said “a plaintiff must have access to the defendant for a case to proceed.”

Well isn’t that the truth — since God doesn’t exist, it’s pretty damn hard to get ahold of him.

Who would launch such a lawsuit?  Nebraska senator Ernie Chambers. Yes, a senator. How weird is that?

Chambers insists God must know about the lawsuit:

The court, Mr Chambers said, had acknowledged the existence of God and “a consequence of that acknowledgement is a recognition of God’s omniscience”.

“Since God knows everything,” he reasoned, “God has notice of this lawsuit.”

Mr Chambers, a state senator for 38 years, said he filed the suit to make the point that “anyone can sue anyone else, even God”.

If God has notice of the lawsuit, and doesn’t show up, does that mean he just gets off the hook? Don’t people get thrown in jail for that?

Of course, Chambers should know that God never represents himself. He always sends a man — a prophet. God makes sure nobody is around and no recording devices are on, then appears to the prophet, telling him that he is the chosen one and God’s instrument on earth. The prophet, humble man he is, accepts his hard calling in life to tell everyone they are wrong and he is right.

So I’m sure Fred Phelps would be more than happy to represent God in this case.

Or maybe I should represent him — “I plead guilty, your honor!”

presumably we all have access to God all the time…

    presumably.

  2. Metro says:

Actually, God should be arraigned on criminal charges: (roughly eight billion murders, right?) and convicted in absentia.

Come to think of it, that’s gonna be one mother of a “Wanted” poster. Wonder what the reward’ll be?

  3. murrowcronkite says:

God didn’t show up cause He already knows how the trial will end.
They must have misplaced Gods phone number.

How stupid is Senator Chambers? He says God is omniscient and knows of the law suit. But God is also omnipresent and everywhere at the same time. Considering this to be the case the injunction order will not work. If you arrest God and throw him in jail he’s not confined. God still remains free and present everywhere at the same time. God is also omnipotent and all powerful. God cannot be restrained by handcuffs, cells or bars. God will always exercise his sovereign will and behave as he wishes.

And by the way what evidence does MR Chambers have regarding God’s crimes? All Chambers has to go on is ear-say and slander. Some of us have heard a different story regarding these atrocities’. We’ve been informed by a reliable source that it’s the devil who is responsible for wide spread death, destruction, terrorism and fear in this world. Satan is the primary suspect for these evil things. But Satan alone is not to blame. He has many accomplices’. Has Mr Chambers forgotten God’s Ten Commandments? Has he not seen police arresting folks who have broken them? Our jails are full of corrupt hum beings that have made threats, killed and terrorised the world.

But the good news is that we can have forgiveness of sins if we repent. And the devil was defeated by Jesus at Calvary. Don’t worry if you don’t agree with me. There’s a trail date fixed at the end of the world. The Heavenly Judge will give his ruling regarding this matter.

Why did the man sue God and Not Satan, being Satan walks to and fro through the earth, and walks against the things that God walks for. JOB Chapter 1 and 2

Why dosent’t he sue Satan who address is:
    HELL
    Location Earth

You Know anyone will sue God, but they wont sue their own master.

    SATAN

    Finally!
If people really believe that the christian god exists, we should be able to legally prosecute him for accessory to every single crime ever committed. If someone says we can’t prosecute ‘him’ that mean’s he doesn’t exist. And because i know people will bring it up…
    1) if ‘god’ exists then he should and can be prosecuted for all crimes committed because he made them possible by creating the perps.
    2) if a satan figure does exists the same can be done to a lesser extent, but there is no definite evidence that ‘he’ caused any of the events attributed to him, even if you firmly believe in ‘his’ existence.
And if ‘god doesn’t show up to his trial, ‘he’ should be held in contempt of court, which then means every christian (as they believe in ‘god’ making him prosecute-able if they wish him to be truth)is praying to a criminal, and a pretty nasty one to.
But really, way to go Chambers.
