The 30 Most Popular Atheist Blogs

Hemant the Friendly Atheist took my Top 30 Atheist Blogs idea and made it more objective: The 30 Most Popular Atheist Blogs.

UF ranks #14 in the list. Obviously, we have some work to do!

Seriously though, thanks to all my readers for making this site as popular as it is. It’s only been 10 months since I started this blog, but I’ve been floored at the reception. You all are amazing.

Thank you for the gift of your attention each day. I will try and make it worth your time!

Way to go Daniel! You’re content is great, and it usually provokes good, thoughtful discussions. I’ve only been an athiest for a little less than a year and your site is a welcome dose of sanity in a part of the country where people wear their religion on their sleeve. Keep up the good work!

You do! This is the first blog I check in the morning, and I usually keep a tab open with UF when my computer’s on.

It is interesting to see them listed by page rank, and the number of people subscribed.

Daniel, off the subject a bit, one of my favorite blogs, the Stubborn Curmudgeon seems to have disappeared. I was thinking you turned me on to it so I’m asking; any idea what happened to that blog?

  4. markbey says:

    @ Daniel

This is my favorite blog, currently. Thanks for such a great blog to debate at.

  5. @Scott M.: Sorry I’m not sure what happened to that one.

@Everyone: Thanks for the kind words!

I am a deffo strong athiest, but believe in the existance of jesus and some of his teachings, so in what catagory am i ?.

    • Solomon says:

      ken bell,
      If you like to know in what category youre in hear this;
Either youre a deffo strong athiest or a believer of Jesus you can be categorized as ‘still in darkness, still searching and I hope it will be the right path, the truth.

  7. Ty says:

I believe Muhammad existed. That doesn’t make me a Muslim.

    • Solomon says:

      Ty,
You know why that did’nt make you a Muslim even though you believe Mohammad existed is because you have not discover his teachings

  8. What — Ty’s a Muslim? :)

  9. Lisa S says:

This is the first blog I check. I love all the high falutin’ conversations being held on here.

And it makes me feel less of a freak seeing as I’m turning away from everything I’ve known. At least I’m not alone.

    I’ve learned so very much.

    • Solomon says:

      Lisa S,
No..you have’nt learned just much yet.And you have’nt known everything from the oneyoure turning away either. You are being swayed from the right path, that is what you have learned if youre aware.

  10. Ty says:

    Awwww

    *Hugs Lisa*

  11. Sock says:

Yeah. This is my top blog, too. Mostly due to the debates, and the occasional “wtf Ray Comfort lol”.

  12. VorJack says:

Wow. Even Fred Clark is getting involved in the list love.

Fred is every online atheist’s favorite Christian, but I was still kinda stunned to see his blog on the list. Props for the broad-minded listing, Daniel. I notice that Hemant didn’t include Slacktivist.

  13. Jack says:

I really enjoy your blog! I grew up in the Christian faith and never questioned my beliefs until about a year ago. I watched the Zeitgeist movie (zeitgeistmovie.com) and that started me on the path to enlightenment.

    • Solomon says:

      Jack,
Youre not on the path of enlightenment, youre in the path of Darkness if youre aware.
I bet youre still not confident with what you believe now.Theres much more to learn and to think about rather than to jump to conclusions.I’am willing to coach those who are looking for the truth.

I discovered this blog through that list, and I’m glad I did. Keep up the good work :)
