That’s a “duh” situation to me. Think of a pack of wolves, the alpha wolf eats first, then the pack gets their share. It’s not like everyone gets a completely even share, but. If they can recognize an alpha wolf, then they can recognize each other too.
I do enjoy Braniac, but I think they gratuitously misrepresent their experiments as being scientific when they’re clearly not. They seldom use controls, and they’ve been known to fake results and whatnot for the sake of TV. It’s a real shame, because it’s a fun programme and the demonstrations they do are generally good.
I blame Richard Hammond, personally. No basis for that, I just dislike his little chipmunky self.
Funny — though everybody should know that no monkey is smart enough to understand all the details of a card game spoken to him, as in this situation. The more intelligent animals may well have a sense of fair play, but neither chips nor cards meant anything to this monkey — it was all staged.
@1:18 lol
great vid, Daniel! lmao!
in a study a few months ago, it was discovered that dogs also have an inherent sense of fair play.
we are not unique little snowflakes, indeed.

That looks like creationist “science” to me! Complete with the bad editing in order to force the test to fit their theory!
Brainiac: Science Abuse! Love that show. They did a good one where they filled a swimming pool with custard in order to demonstrate surface tension :D

I have to say, that was the good laugh I needed after a crappy day at work. Thanks Daniel.
Oh that was too funny :)
His little face when he realises he’s been duped!

My appreciation for the humor of this sequence was completely destroyed on learning that it is unscientific, which is news to me. Jerks.
