It was good, but far from the greatest metal song ever. >>
I mean, you gotta go back to the 80s for the best metal.
If you like metal, then give Manowar a shot. They’re a guilty pleasure of mine. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S1woxkraClg&feature=related
Daniel – I looked at your list of articles, and just loved it! I read several of them. Especially liked Keith Parsons Why I Am Not a Christian.
Just wanted to let you know that the link to Mark Twain “Bible Teaching and Religious Practice” was moved. You can find that article at http://www.ratbags.com/rsoles/comment/twain01.htm. (Another amazing article.)
Racer X/Paul Gilbert is ok but they try to be too technical just for the sake of it. I like my metal to have more rough edges and “soul”. Old school thrash FTW.
Is it just me, or does every member of that band look exactly alike?
Forgive me for not knowing anything about Racer X or Paul Gilbert, I understand that it might actually be the same guy and that’s his gimmick. I don’t know.

I have never heard JS Bach as a metal song, but he does go with everything
You should listen to Yngwie Malmsteen’s renditions of Paganini’s caprices.
Paul Gilbert is my absolute favourite musician ever. There is nothing he can’t do on the guitar.
Meh… sounds like speed for the sake of speed to me. I much prefer Petrucci or Satrianni, even Buckethead.
But it’s entertaining enough, I guess.

That was pretty awesome. Definitely great metal there. I also approve of performing in astronaut flight suits.
Another Racer X / Paul Gilbert fan? Excellent. :D
Amazing guitar! Wow. But I’m sticking with the metal classics. Esp Black Sabbath.
Good lyrics
I admit I don’t enjoy most vocals in metal…

Thanks, I’ve updated it.
If you like this, check out ‘technical difficulties’ :)
Another amazing Gilbert song!
I am currently attempting to learn both. Wish me luck! Do you play guitar?
Or Eudaimonia Overture. :D
Meh, I prefer his Mr. Big stuff to this. ;)

Just you.
Marco Minneman (Gilbert’s drummer) has some REALLY cool stuff, too.

I’m with ArchangelChuck on this one, you’ve got to check out more of Marco Minneman’s material. He is a PHENOMENAL drummer!
