Gay Scientists Isolate Christian Gene

I liked these youtube comments (each paragraph is a different comment):

Good comedy usually involves some element of truth. So, this is not funny. Knowing Jesus Christ makes people Christians, not genes. And any attempts at ridiculing Jesus won’t work. It’s been tried for over 2000 years and He still remains relevant.

I am very proud that I have this gene. I believe it was given to my by God, when he was creating me, during the miracle He also created called birth. Fortunately, He gave me two Christian parents as well. I have a good friend who posted this.

Chrisitianity isnt a religion, or atleast its not supposed to be. It’s supposed to be a lifestyle, but yeah I do respect homosexuals, i dont exactly agree with them, but I dont disrespect them.

it has been proven that atheist are sick, twisted, individuals.

i hate atheists, they say shit like “Well then who created God?” to tell you the truth i rly dont know. But is it better than a huge random explosion and then magically creatures start showing up. I mean come on it sounds really stupid. I know not all atheists think this way but a lot do and it really pisses me off with their cocky ignorance.

I have to say, though, I love my Christian dad, and accept him for who he is.

it is wrong because christianity is not a gene it’s a way of life, the bible sais homosexuals shall be killed etc, thats why this is so wrong they are trying to prove god wrong by go against everything he stanbds for.

The True message is the Bible the word of God He loves all people but He did NOT make people gay! We all have struggles in life being gay is one of the struggles people have to deal with, just as murder, rape, lying, stealing and many others it is a daily struggle to do the Right Thing!!

This man is clearly confused and conflicted to the point of disorientation.

Holy shit that’s funny awesome in a sad way.

  4. I would probably listen to Christians more, if they could actually use proper grammar and build a good argument, half the time I can’t even understand what they’re trying to say in their comments.

    #5 broke my irony meter.

  6. Marley says:

If the people of this religion are asked about the proof for the soundness of their religion, they flare up, get angry and spill the blood of whoever confronts them with this question. They forbid rational speculation, and strive to kill their adversaries. This is why truth became thoroughly silenced and concealed.-Muhammad ibn Zakariya al-Razi, 8th century Persian alchemist and physician

YouTube comments are never to be read, for that way lies madness.

There is little on this earth that reflects more poorly on our species than youTube commentary:

    Requisite xkcd comic about same.

In reference to the crazy YouTube commenters who’ve been fairly freaking out about this, I borrow from Lt. Saavik in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, “Humor. It is a difficult concept.”

Being gay is like.. ya know, a daily struggle like murder, rape (lying??)… some christians have a really twisted moral.

And indeed, my irony meter also explode with #5 and his “magically creatures start showing up”

    • Seth says:

How do you know that comment was from a Christian and not just meant to reflect the satire of the video? I have been to a Marilyn Manson concert once along time ago and there was a man outside picketing the lines with a huge sign saying that the people there needed to repent or they were going to hell. Come to find out that Manson had hired the man to make a mockery and fuel his message.

      • Francesc says:

If he sounds like a fundi and he smells like a fundi -and he speaks about “God” and the “Bible”- he may be a fridge, but…

lol thats a funny ass parody.

  12. Great satire. It highlights in part how demeaning it is to gays that they’ve had so pressure on them to prove that it’s a genetic or otherwise unavoidable way of being. The notion that even were it NOT a fated personality trait it could still be an ethically neutral or positively excellent possibility for people is just that scandalous to the mainstream mind (probably even still today). How embarrassing for gays that they are forced to insist they have no power either way just to get minimal acceptance. And even in some quarters where the naturalness of their inclinations is acknowledged, it’s cruelly condemned as forbidden to ever consummate their loves. One wonders how many decades it will take before everyone is free to be who they are or who they choose to be without having to apologize or explain it as a fate (even where it is one as it seems to be for the vast majority of gays, if not all of them).

That day will come when religion dies the shameful death it so richly deserves.

      • John C says:

It (religion) already died with Him for “he who has died is freed from (the keeping of) the law”. You are confusing “Churchianity” with Christ. Actually, you are agreeing with Him (oh no) in that you despise the hypocrisy of an external farce (a keeping up of appearances).

This very thing (the illusion of godliness devoid of the transformative power) is what Christ came to do away with in providing the Real which He Himself is…in us.

The buidings, the long robes, the hypocrisy is all falling away, is crumbling. Now is the time, everything that He has not built, that He did not initiate will fail…thankfully.

        • boomSLANG says:

“This very thing (the illusion of godliness devoid of the transformative power) is what Christ came to do away with in providing the Real which He Himself is…in us.”

Per usual, True Christian™, John C., insists that the “Real” message of this alleged “Christ” character is “in us”, yet, frequently(mostly, whenever convenient), True Christian™, John C., references scriptual passages from (an external) “bible”, the same book from which the “religious” get their messages of “Law keeping”.

          Par for the course.

          • John C says:

I only reference for you, not for me. The external is (currently) the ony way you and I could begin to possibly communicate in some small way…currently. But I appreciate the very nearly civil manner in which you chose to express your displeasure and as usual I appreciate you, all the best.

            • boomSLANG says:

“I only reference for you, not for me.”

Irrelevant, and my point was evidentally lost on you.

You insist that the “religious” concern themselves with the “Law keeping” aspects of the Christian doctrine, which of course, is contained in “the Bible”. You insist that the “Real” message of Christianity is found “in us”. So, while you contradict yourself by continually quoting EXTERNAL sources, via “scripture”, you also have the burden of proving that you know which scriptual passages are “Law keeping”, and which ones are something else, entirely.

You continue….”The external is (currently) the [only] way you and I could begin to possibly communicate in some small way”

We are communicating just fine. Let’s recap: You believe that you know that you possess the Absolute, Universal, Ultimate “Truth”; I believe that you most certainly do not possess any such “Truth”. To my knowledge, you have not provided any credible (objective) evidence for the existence of invisible, conscious beings, nor any credible evidence that “the Bible” is the inspired “Word” of the supposed creator of the universe. Your belief dead-ends at “I believe”, which, I’m fine with that, but yet, you won’t keep your belief and your “personal relationship”, personal. If you choose to not keep your “relationship” with your biblegod personal; if you choose to minster about your “relationship”, ‘sorry… it then becomes “religion”.

You continue….”But I appreciate the very nearly civil manner in which you chose to express your displeasure…”

I usually start out civil in the hopes that I might get through to you, for instance, to get you to see that nonbelievers like myself are actually unable to believe. Frankly, I still don’t think that you “get it”.

You repeat……”and as usual I appreciate you, all the best.”

You “appreciate” me, thanks….but yet, you have zero intention of entertaining anything I say that might suggest that you could be wrong.

As an educated guess, I’d say that 90%+ of youtube comments come from the bottom feeders of society.

    • Logan says:

The youtube comments are nothing. You should spend some time on 4chan. Those are society’s true bottom feeders.

      • mahousniper says:

Aah, but 4chan is generally witty and clever whenever they do something big. They also tend to stand for social justice and when it comes down to it, anonymous does the right thing quite a bit. A little “by any means necessary,” but still the right direction.

Look at their work against Scientology. Wise Beard Man (Mark Bunker) has managed to convince them to completely stop all DDOS attacks and other forms of harassment.

        • Michael says:

          I’ll check out 4chan.

But seriously, I think nothing can compare to the comments at liveleak.com

          Examples:
Hussein is a communist, Bush was a conservative.

Big differance. I wouldn’t want hussein talking to my fish let alone my children.

-(on Michelle obama) She’s just daydreaming about her vacation being cut short,”mmm black eyed peas&chitlins and some succulent watermelon”.”Why did that fat old white bastard have to die during my holiday?grrrr, when the **** is this over?!!!’.

-I bet you really say that about Hitler. Germany’s best known contribution to the world.

-It was the watermelon desert they ate they didnt want to get out.

Not to mention the pictures of Obama defaced to look like the joker or hitler. Plus every liberal or person who defends Obama is rated negatively while every rascist, hate-mongering comment is rated positively.

          Ultra-racist, ultra-hypocritical, blatantly anti-semitic, overt jingoism, religious fanatics -

All the recipes for good ol’ fashioned – jingoist fascism.

  14. tomas says:

nice parody. finally the tables are turned. only those with a sense of humour will understand it. rabid cult members will find it objectionable. aren’t all religions just cults, after all?

  15. tomas says:

oops. my bad. i forgot to state IMHO that religion in general is the reason there is so much hate and conflict and war throughout the history of mankind. that’s pretty obvious…

  16. YouTube comments are the syrup in the pumpkin spice latte of stupidity.

  17. Metro says:

Comments on news sites are as relevant as LOLcats, or possibly slightly less so. Yet contrasted with what one finds on YouTube they look like the writings of Gandhi. Witness:

“We all have struggles in life being gay is one of the struggles people have to deal with, just as murder, rape, lying, stealing and many others it is a daily struggle to do the Right Thing!!”

Until now I used to do interior decorating as a displacement activity to help me in my daily struggle not to lie, rape, and steal. But now I don’t know what I’m gonna do.

  18. Elle Bee says:

I love comment #4. My university professors would dock marks if I wrote “proven” or “proof” in our papers. Oh you should see the fuss they make when people imply that they have solid proof of a theory. So hilarious.

    Love the movie.
