The Trinity doesn’t make any sense, but that’s just evidence it’s true. If it made sense, we’d know it was made up by a bunch of theologians. But if it still doesn’t make sense after 2,000 years, we can take comfort it’s God’s Own Truth. Hallelujah!
But just to clarify… that doesn’t mean the things about God that do make sense aren’t true. Those are true too.
Because the Bible says so.
And they’re not made up, either.
Otherwise they wouldn’t be in the Bible.
I’m not sure that the Catholic mind is capable of coping with the idea of circular logic being flawed. Too much programming.

The most satisfying answer I’ve ever heard to the trinity stuff is the H20 one. H20 can be ice or water or steam, but it’s still the same molecule. That’s how some explain the trinity – same molecule – different forms. Still doesn’t sell me on it, but at least it’s better than the usual theological hoo-da.
H2O can be in either state but not at the same time so that example is rather weak.
At the triple point all three states are in thermodynamic equilibrium.

I think he’s allowed to ask for money because he doesn’t keep saying that God provides for their every need.
I’d like to see the one where they also include the holy spirit in the discussion of who’s who and who’s not.
