My beloved got me the ten-disc boxed-set of all the seasons of Red Dwarf for our last anniversary. I must have watched it through at least ten times already :-) That was one of my favourite episodes – funny how few people spot Tony Hawks (the guy who went around Ireland with a fridge, not the skater) in the first two seasons.
I instead got the individual series one by one some of which replaced the videos I already had of some of the early series — I forget just how old RD is sometimes. There’s only one other series that I like as much and can watch over and over again and that’s Black Adder (even the first one). The strange thing is I’ve watched both of them so many times that I pretty much know what is going to happen/be said next but I still find it funny. We’ve such great lines as “Go to red alert”; “Are you sure sir, it does mean changing the light bulb?” who wouldn’t find it funny.
It hasn’t aged well, but it’s still a fave show of mine, too. I also love the episode where Lister tells Cat he’s Cat’s God, and the one where Lister tries to explain to Kryten that there’s no such thing as Silicon Heaven. “But where do all the calculators go?” “They just die!”
Love it – my own personal take on this is illustrated on the TwitPic link above, when I edited a Gideons which leapt out of a hotel drawer and tried to assault me. Enjoy.
A clip from “Red Dwarf”. I loved that show.
The hologram mark is the easiest Halloween costume ever.

Emails to Tony Hawks from people who think he’s Tony Hawk, and his responses to them: http://www.tony-hawks.com/skateboarding.php

I dig it!

Classic :D
